Dear Carol, Ellen, and David,
I am so sorry to learn of your Mother's death, from my brother John, who still gets the Register on line. I learned quite a few useful things about her: how to change a diaper, when David was born! (Cloth diapers and blue pins!) How to brush a curly-haired dog, how to make petticoat-tail cookies, how to tend to a baby possum, how to deal with your Dad's health issues. You kids had an exciting household, what with the playhouse, the ice-rink, and all your beautiful toys. I last saw her at Sandusky Library, maybe five years ago, and then two nights later at the State Theatre, about the time my Mom died. Carol, I was so happy when you moved next door, because I had a little girl to play with. Remember how we used to play Authors by the hour, roller skate, tearing up and down the sidewalk, and remember sitting under a backyard bush, on a board set on two bricks, hiding from the world?
Your Mom was a wonderful woman, and I know you will miss her.

We are so sorry for your loss. We would always hear about all of you when we mowed her lawn. She had a special place for each and everyone in her family. God's blessings for peace at this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about Jane's passing. Even though I only got to meet her a couple of times, I always looked forward to her Christmas letters to see what she had been doing all year. Sympathy to my Brock cousins.
