Evelyn J. (Pill) Speaker, 92, of Sandusky passed away Wednesday morning, June 28, 2017 in the Providence Care Center following a brief illness.
She was born September 7, 1924 in Sandusky and was a 1943 graduate of Sandusky High School. Pill was a 30-year employee of the Ford Motor Company, Sandusky plant, retiring in 1985. Prior to this she had worked at the former Philco Corp.
She was a former member of the Moose Club and enjoyed visits and outings with her family.
She is survived by nieces and nephews; Diane (Rich) Fedorchak of Parma Heights, Ruth Wollf, David (Mary) Wollf, both of Sandusky, and Ann Wollf of Lima; many grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlo and Marie (Taylor) Speaker; two sisters, Agnes Mae Speaker and Marjorie R. Speaker Wollf; and one nephew Jack A. Wollf.
At the request of the deceased, services for the family will be held at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Rev. Jan Smith-Wood will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
